Calypso is located an easy 10 minute walk south of Hopetown on a beautiful white sand beach with a great snorkel reef just offshore. 

The house is situated on the crest of the dune. The beach is very safe and easily supervised from the house.

The large yard is lush with native vegetation and very private.

The ocean decks extend over the top of the dune, with fabulous sunrise and ocean views. A gazebo provides mid-day shade, and the decks are shaded by the house in the late afternoon.

The living room has an open floor plan with lots of windows providing panoramic views of the ocean.

The kitchen and bar have plenty of counter space, and all modern appliances. Awning-style kitchen windows open onto the screened porch to let cool breezes pass through and allow views of the yard and palm trees.  

The screened porch and grill deck are wonderful afternoon retreats when you've had enough sun, or on the occasional windy or rainy day. The gas grill will cook for any crowd. (A Weber kettle grill is available for charcoal aficionados.) 

The lighting contributes toward a warm and comfortable atmosphere, with most lights on dimmers.

All 6 bedrooms are spacious, light and airy, with unobstructed views of the ocean and/or palm trees.  Dressers or wardrobes provide ample storage for clothes and gear. Each bedroom has a private full bathroom with double sinks. Towels and linens are included.

The upstairs TV room is a great place to chill, with comfortable furniture, cable TV, and a DVD/VCR with over 50 movies. It opens to an upper floor ocean deck. 

The ground floor game room is very popular for evening entertainment, or on rainy days. There is also a TV and speakers tied to the house sound system.

The outdoor shower is perfect for a quick rinse right out of the ocean.

Calypso shares a private dock located a few hundred yards toward town on protected Nigh Creek. Several boats can be easily accommodated. Ample parking for carts is at the head of the dock.  With a private dock, you will always have an available and convenient place to dock your boats and park your carts.
